[Billboard Korea | Journalist Shim Sae Geol] New stars known as
Cho Yongpil’s selected Super Rookie, rock band Royal Pirates is gaining
attention for their possessed (?) performance.
Through their online homepage and SNS, Royal Pirates have been revealing teaser videos in turn, starting on the 20th with bassist James, followed on the 21st by drummer Sooyoon, and the 22nd with vocalist and guitarist Moon’s teaser video. The videos are only short clips, but seeing each member’s extravagant performance can be overwhelming. The black and white teaser shows off an intense atmosphere and overwhelming charisma for an overall effect that you would not expect from new stars. Not only national (Korean) but international fans alike carry high levels of anticipation.

The Royal Pirates were formed in 2008 as a three
member boy band in Los Angeles, California. There they received training
and performed in clubs to gain experience and hone their talents. On
the 15th, they made their debut stage at Super Sonic 2013, having
competed with odds of 50 to 1 and gaining “Song King” Cho Yongpil’s pick
as Super Rookie.
