Hello!!! My birthday just passed. Thank you all for wishing me a happy birthday! I received your cards! I was really happy to have received so many handwritten messages! T___T Thank you so much! 

I was also really touched by all the fans from Korea and Japan who came to our concert and cheered us on! I had a really great time! After the concert I went with the rest of RP and had a birthday party. I got this Snow White cake from my brother as a joke. LOL It was an ice cream cake and it was delicious. (/^▽^)/

Everyone, 2016 has almost ended! Let’s keep doing our best in 2017 as well! Let’s meet up again in 2017! ^^

We participated as judges in an audition program in Malaysia! On the last day we went with the other judges to eat Malaysian food. I ate chicken and fish, satay, and even frog! h It was delicious ^^

Since I was a judge I appeared in a sharp black shirt. On the last day there was a fan-signing, so I wore this cute shirt I bought in Japan. ^^ 

From today on, I’ll be working hard to practice for the concert we’ll have in Korea in December! Pyon~

[16.10.11] [Interview] Korea’s Handsome Band Royal Pirates! Three days of performances, from October 26-28 at Shibuya GLAD, and around Tokyo! “We’ll bring everyone an unforgettable live performance!”

South Korean trio band Royal Pirates successfully held their Japanese tour “Beyond in Japan” at Tokyo’s Shibuya Glad this past June, attracting a great number of fans. To express how much they miss Japan and their fans there, they will be holding a three-day series of live performances, starting on October 26.

 
The Royal Pirates are a three-member band so handsome they can make appearances in Korean dramas. The members grew their talents in America, and kicked things up last December with their rock and EDM fusion title song of “Run Away.” Please look forward to the three-day tour that opens on the 26th!

A. Moon - It’s not something I’ve listened to the most…^^ When I listen to Chicago’s “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” it gives me strength.
A. EXSY - I often listen to MC to the Max’s “No Matter Where.” Since it’s autumn, I’m liking ballads.
A. James - I’ve listen to The Beatles’ “Can’t Buy Me Love” the most. It makes me happy to listen to it.

Next up is Skytree Tower! Let’s go! Hehe. I saw (the tower) every day with the staff-hyung at IMX! The view was amazing!! So beautiful~ I took a lot of pictures.

Last week I went to the beach! It was really great!

The sea in LA is the best! The sea in Japan is also really pretty, right? Someday I want to go to the beach in Japan.
I always walk from the dorm to the studio and back.
Hollywood is so cool, it’s always great to just watch what goes on around me.

[16.05.31] 내가 어렸을때 베이시스트를 하고 싶다고 깨닫게 되었다. 많은 고민을하고 안정적인 일도 포기하고 꿈을 이루기 위해 한국으로 왔다. 음악을 너무 사랑해서 여기까지 왔고 매일매일 연습했는데, 약 1년전에 말도 안되는 사고가 났다. 근데 지금까지도 그 이태원 식당이 보상을 제대로 안해주려고 하는데 진짜 어이가 없다. 내가 무슨 잘못이라도 했나? 밥 먹으려고 들어갔는데. 이제 내가 사랑하는 일도 못하고 내가 평생 즐기던 취미인 격투기와 농구, 모두 포기해야되는데.

1년 전, 1년 후 내 모습이 걱정없을것이라 생각하며 믿고 열심히 재활했다. 근데 아직도 싸우고 있네. 수술은 또 해야하고 더 해야한다. 매일 다른 고통때문에 아프고 힘든데. 정작 너희들은 잘 지내지? 나는 끝까지 싸운다.

VID: It felt like a part of me died when I was hearing these things from different doctors like “You’re never going to be able to play guitar again”,”You’re never going to do certain…” like, “you can’t even work out with your full strength as before.” That was really frustrating… because if you know me, I love MMA, I love 격투기, and I love guitar. I love playing guitar, I love music. Just the fact that it’s been taken away from me- I just felt like I got robbed.


POST: When I was young I realized I wanted to play the bass. After much thought I left my stable job and came to Korea to accomplish that dream. I have loved music so much and gotten this far with it- practiced every day, and a year ago an unthinkable accident occurred. To this day that restaurant in Itaewon still will not give me compensation for damages and that just makes no sense to me. Did I do something wrong? I went in to eat. Now I can’t even do the things I love, and all the hobbies I always enjoyed like MMA and basketball- I had to give it all up.


One year ago, I believed everything would be okay one year later if I kept thinking it would be, and I did my best to recover. But I’m still fighting. Surgery after surgery. Every day there’s a different pain that makes me hurt. Are you all getting by? I’m going to fight until the end.

Q. If you could play the bass again, would you go back to it?
J: Yes. But I don’t want to give up the keyboard either. So if I could go back to playing the bass, I’d want to play both instruments.
H: Then you could do it all: bass, keyboard, and programming...
J: That’s right.
M: It would also make our performances a lot more interesting, if he could switch between instruments like that.

Q. If you had a little sister, which member would you NOT want to introduce them to?
J: That would be Moon Kim.
M: Why? Why??
J: As a man...? :Checks to make sure he heard the question right, and confirms that Moon is who he would NOT introduce his little sister to: As the vocalist he has the most popularity, so I don’t want her to get jealous.
