[14.03.23] Royal Pirates End Official [Korean] Promotions at the Hongdae Festival



[Sports Choseon | Reporter Lee Junghyuk] Global band Royal Pirates closed their official promotions successfully with their performance at the Hongdae Festival.
 Royal Pirates participated in the Hondgae Festival, which opened its doors on the 21st at Soundholic. Hongdae Fest, sponsored by Jaurim’s agency Soundholic, is a month long project that takes place in March, highlighting the sights and clubs of Hondae and featuring live programs and various cultural
programs as well.

On this day they performed their last official performance of their song “Drawing the Line”, which was released this past January, and various fans from across the world packed the venue- not unlike any other rookie group in the K-scene- boasting their global popularity.

Royal Pirates garnered the audience’s enthusiasm by opening with their debut song ‘Shout Out’ and following up with their first mini album title track “Drawing the Line”, “On My Mind”, “You”, and others.

Among those others were Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and One Direction’s “What Makes you Beautiful”, all played in their individual style- with a stage overflowing with the specific energy of a rock band and showing off their musicality.

In addition to fans various industry insiders were also present to focus their attention on Royal Pirates’ refined stage manner and performance skills among the best of performers.

Through the promotions of this album, Royal Pirates have been acknowledged not only by netizens but also gained 8th ranking on America’s Billboard World Album Chart, building much anticipation 
for their next round of promotions.

Royal Pirates, who have just ended their official promotions on their first mini album will, on the 24th, begin promotions for their first Japanese mini album [Shout Out]. In the coming April, member Moon will show us a new side of himself by making his first variety show appearance on SBS’s pilot of “Law of the City”.
